Hon'ble Ms. Justice R.N. Manjula
Enrolled as an advocate in the year 1987 after finishing the law degree. Got
post gradution degrees in Law, Master of Human Rights and Women Studies.
Has been a member of Dindigul Bar Association and Practised in the District
Courts of Dindigul in both Civil and Criminal side. Joined in Tamil Nadu State
Judicial Service in the year 1995 as a Junior Division Civil Judge and worked in
several places across Tamil Nadu in various capacities for 25 years. Has
delivered judgements in sensational cases like Ayanavaram Child rape case and
Kovilpatti Bomb Blast Case. Also functioned as the Registrar for Tamil Nadu
State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) on deputation basis. Has been the
Head for the 3 members Special Committee of SHRC for making field enquiry
on the calamity that occurred on the Marina Beach during the Jalli Kattu
Protest. Chosen as one among the two to represent India at Netherlands for a 3
week program on Protection of Human Rights conducted by the The Hague
Academy of International Law, at The International Court of Justice, Peace
Palace, The Hague in the year 1998. Has been the Vice-President for the Tamil
Nadu Judges Association. Appointed as an Additional Judge of Madras High
Court on 03.12.2020.
